Alistair & Morrigan : Saving a Woman

Walking along the Imperial Highway from Ostagar are the Grey Warden, Alistair, and Morrigan.  Lothering is within sight, but Alistair notices something up the road which spurs him into a run.

Alistair: Darkspawn!  Up ahead!

Morrigan: Allow me...

The two genlock sizzle in the throws of a fireball and scatter off.  This left a single hurlock.  He was lifting his arm against an elder lady they had not noticed.

Alistair shield bashes the hurlock down and smites it while the Warden escorts the lady to safety.

While the Warden makes certain there are no remaining Darkspawn, Alistair and Morrigan address the rescued lady.

Alistair: Call me crazy but running towards Ostagar? Not the greatest idea.

Woman: I had to try. My family is there.

Morrigan: They are not, not any longer. All that remains of Ostagar is ruin and rubble.

Woman: Then it's true. All is lost.

Alistair: Not all! Just... most!

Morrigan: Sever your ties and run, woman.

Woman: Very well, I will not push south.  I will wait for them in Lothering, with my daughter.

The Warden returns.

Morrigan: Suit yourself. Warden? Alistair? Shall we away? Or are there more helpless fools to assist?

Alistair: She can HEAR you Morrigan...

Morrigan: And your point?

Alistair and Morrigan depart down the imperial highway bickering.

The warden chooses to offer health poultices to the woman.

Woman: Thank you. I shall wait here a bit longer. Darkspawn or no.

Warden: (chooses to be positive) I wish you luck...

Woman: Hawke. Leandra Hawke. I had two at Ostagar. Perhaps they survived as you did...

Warden: (chooses to be supportive) I hope you see your children, Leandra Hawke.

Leandra: Thank you, Grey Warden.

The Warden departs, catching up with Alistair and Morrigan.

Dragon Age Previews Two Handed Abilities

It seems pretty straight forward so far but it's nice to know Thedas will be filled with brutes wielding two handed swords.

Here's something they released on Facebook today previewing some of the two handed sword abilities.

Nothing we haven't seen before other than that pretty neat addition to cleave actually cleaving the earth with earthshattering strike.

It'll just be a matter of time before we see these abilities destroying our unfortunate mages who happen to be standing nearby.

If you're anything like me, you'll notice your rogue coming too close to the warrior just a moment too late. And something like whirlwind is sure to make quick mince meat of your weaker offense. So plan accordingly!

Are you looking forward to playing a two handed weapon?

A Welcome Note to Imagine Thedas

Welcome to Imagine Thedas

Whether you're Olesian, Ferelden, Qunari, Dalish, Dwarf, or some sort of halfsie... this is going to be a place for you to celebrate your addiction to the Dragon Age Universe.

Imagine Thedas is the result of a great Facebook Community known as the Dragon Age Universe.  I've never been so fortunate as to become a fan of a game with such a thriving fan base!  With Dragon Age Inquisition nearing release date, we are all sort of going a little stir crazy soaking up each and every little bit of Thedas we can get!  Even that's not enough, because many people including myself are taking to creating head canon to expand on the already vast world of Dragon Age.

So whether you're a hardcore fan of the game or someone who enjoys a little chit chat here and there about how dreamy Alistair is, how bad-ass Morrigan is, or how insipidly delightful Leliana is (and that's just Origins), please head over to the Facebook group which started it all!

Here you'll find notices to the more hilarious postings, contests inspired by the group, a few headcanon scenes written by members, and I'll be using this place as a hub for all of us to start sharing our Dragon Age adventures with one another!

Do you have an idea of how to make this blog even more amazing than it's already GOING to be?  Let me know!  Are you are a graphics artist who wants to make me a neat logo?  Do iiiiiit!  I can't wait to get you guys involved!

Thanks for those of you who make the Dragon Age Universe the best Facebook Page I've ever been in!

Your (not very) humble servant,
Drew De Jesus

PS - Thank you to Bioware also for making the Dragon Age franchise into something so expansive as to be able to support our immense fandom.
